Our
Services

Environmental

Environmental services include planning and assessment that provide the data and information needed to assess project feasibility, design and install projects, and evaluate success. Additionally, we provide expert environmental compliance services including compliance monitoring, permit reporting and support, and stormwater and spill prevention plans.

Engineering

AEI’s engineering team provides innovative designs for coastal, ecological, and stormwater projects that address flooding, water quality, and ecosystem alterations, strengthening infrastructure, sustaining mission readiness, and restoring our environment. AEI offers a full suite of services from modeling to project design and permitting and construction oversight.

Water Resources

AEI provides a full range of water resources services including surface water, groundwater, wastewater and stormwater monitoring; hydrological, hydrodynamic, and water quality modeling; guiding feasibility studies and master plans. We have worked alongside our clients to provide solutions to manage and protect water resources using sophisticated modeling, assessment, and design.

Natural Resources

Our team has the experience and required accreditations to efficiently and accurately delineate and assess wetlands, perform lake and stream condition indices, analyze landscape community composition; and survey protected species on land and in the water. AEI’s multifaceted regulatory team truly excels in the NEPA environment, preparing assessment documentation and permit packages that are scientifically supported with integrated monitoring plans to demonstrate progress toward achieving agreed upon benchmarks.

Planning and Geospatial

Planning and geospatial tools guide and assess project strategies and define interim benchmarks that demonstrate success. AEI has assisted with planning from simple sampling plans to government comprehensive plans to regional NEPA program implementation. Planning is facilitated with geospatial tools and spatial analyses interpreted though maps and graphics. Our geospatial team specializes in the use of remote sensing data to capture landscape scale system dynamics consistently and efficiently.

Our Specialities

Non-Federal Services

The AEI Team is a powerhouse of interdisciplinary research and engineering with proven experience executing all facets of environmental programming from conceptualization to completion efficiently and effectively, saving our public sector clients time and money. We rely on innovative remote sensing applications, geospatial analyses, and machine learning to augment, streamline, and automate data collection and to analyze and visualize large-scale system dynamics. AEI’s muti-faceted engineering and science teams work together from project inception to integrate natural systems into engineered solutions, design projects to be permitted and constructed efficiently, and plan monitoring that demonstrates short and long-term success.

Since AEI started in 2009, we have completed over 400 projects for non-federal government clients throughout Florida, ranging from simple Environmental Audits to complex technical models with regulatory support as a Subject Matter Expert. Our team is currently assisting over 20 local governments under continuing services contracts as well as SFWMD and SWFWMD and we are ready to help you with innovative solutions to help maintain your community’s quality of life.

Federal Services

Our multifaceted team of scientists and engineers specializes in serving the A/E needs of our federal clients with experience working at over 40 DOD installations, including Tyndall AFB, Patrick Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Malabar Transmitter Annex and all of the 81st RD facilities in Puerto Rico, Camp LeJeune, and Cherry Point. AEI acts as the Water Quality SME for several installations and supports the Water Quality Program for the Fence-to-Fence Environmental Services Contract for the U.S. Air Force and Space Force Installations along Florida’s Space Coast.

AEI has demonstrated the ability to successfully manage multiple, complex federal TOs simultaneously and deliver exemplary quality products on time and within budget. Our multifaceted team has completed over $10 M of in federal projects providing environmental compliance and engineering support such as forest management, T&E services, management plans (SPCC, TSCA, HW/HM, SWPPP, SWMP, etc.), compliance assessments, multimedia and single media facility audits, RCRA evaluations, climate vulnerability and resilience planning, living shoreline designs, dredge material management, etc.
