SOIRL Stormwater Project Grant Support

The City of Cocoa Beach submitted and received funding to implement several LID stormwater retrofit projects (e.g. BMPs) from the recently approved Save Our Indian River Lagoon Project Plan. AEI provided support services to allow the best possible completion of this funding request within the allotted timeline. Services included estimating stormwater input volumes and nutrient loads (TN and TP) based on the most appropriate watershed model for the Banana River Lagoon for the proposed treatment basin. In addition, removal efficiency was estimated based on project type using BMPTrains and compared to approved standards by the FDEP and the SOIRLPP. GIS mapping support for the grant applications was also included as part of this project.
